ADINNA® is a painter and photographer living and working in Dallas, TX since December 24th, 2004. Born December 19, 1978 in Bucharest, Romania, Europe, ADINNA’s early work influence consists in the realms of fauvism of Henri Matisse. Later, the artist stepping into self exploration, identifies with the abstract expressionism of the School of New York, the most prominent art current shaping the mid 20th century, after the second world war, and extending to nowadays. ADINNA® started drawing and painting as a child. Growing up in a family of artisans, she was educated in the practice of arts and artisan crafts from an early age. She finds her inspiration in nature and the time spent at her family country homes, learning the creation of decorative objects from Earth-based ingredients. Situated on ancient grounds with breathtaking natural beauty, she grew up surrounded by myths and legends, wisdom teachings and art. Childhood memories, the light, colors and textures, are expressed in her paintings and photography. ADINNA’s work conveys the essence of a golden era, in which she relates to her past, and taps into the future though the filter of a perpetual now presence. Light, emotion, symbolism are transformed into color and dimension. Artist’s connection with the eternal source of life, light and love, stands beyond time and the material.

“Since early beginnings, my art is a reflection on the nature of the universe and the origin of human soul. My artworks are visual reflections about self-identity and freedom of expression. Each piece is an invitation to travel beyond structure, time and space. Often bringing to light ancient symbols, sacred geometry, I am creating a space for thought and emotion. At the present, am focusing on the relation between the subconscious memories and love, as source of all other human emotions and actions, the basis of behavior and personality development.“
